I ignored the many negative reviews about this product because the price is more than 3x lower than the Acer replacement battery, and I wondered if other users had simply ignored the instructions for installing the cheap knockoff. I followed the instructions and found that the knockoff could take a full charge and occasionally power my Acer laptop, but every 6 to 24 hrs a warning appeared indicating that the computer did not recognize the battery. This required a restart, often at inconvenient times. After a few days, I was fed up and ordered the Acer battery, which works just fine. It comes down to whether the unreliability of the cheap replacement is worth the low price. For me it was not.

My Acer Inspiron was having issues shutting down as soon as it powered up. I bought 2 other brand batteries and laptop kept doing the same thing. As I've worked on computers all my life I knew it was not motherboard or processor. So I have one last ditch effort to fix it before it would be only used as a laptop (desktop forever). Now it is working perfectly

This was so easy to install, does take some time to calibrate battery. After that, the battery has worked great. I put up with a weak battery for too long. Should have replaced sooner as it was a fair price and seems to be a great product.
